VaVaVie designed by Renne, brings intricate fashion fierceness and evolved elegance from San Francisco’s FIDM Fashion Institute. VaVaVie is “living life fully”, letting the body be the canvas and the world your runway. Designs debuted in last years Avant Garde show of Eugene Fashion Week, and this year the audience can expect a whole new round of glamorous gowns in the Avant Garde Show May 4^th 2013. Also, VaVaVie will be showing a line of hand-beaded bras in the Lingerie Show May 1^st, paired with RevivALL bloomers. Renne is a designer at The Redoux Parlour, where she creates custom wedding dresses and other commissions. Handmade jewelry is available in store and bedazzled bras coming soon!

Quigley Art Designs

Internationally recognized Eugene artist Richard Quigley’s artworks are in collections, museums and galleries worldwide. He is currently exhibiting in Galleries in Mexico, The French Quarter of New Orleans, Arizona and Oregon. In 2003 Richard created his first designer t-shirt to “Save Madison Meadow” in Eugene. By 2009 he had started “Quigley Wearable Art” which incorporated images from his visionary paintings and drawings. Quigley ‘s fashions are sold in fashion design stores from Santa Fe to Eugene. This is Richard’s third “Eugene Fashion Week” show.

Wicked Whimsy

Etain Wilday is the owner of Wicked Whimsy, and has been sewing and designing jewelry since she was a child at her mother’s knee. A graduate from the Art Institute of Portland in 2010, she has worked backstage with Cirque du Soliel, with Nike as a stitcher, and as a contract sewer on the Eugene Ballet’s upcoming show, Mowgli. Etain currently offers some of her dichroic glass jewelry on Etsy at www.etsy.com/shop/WickedWhimsy2, and welcomes requests for custom clothing, accessories, and props.

Her style is best described as Modern Victorian, incorporating the period’s flair for dramatic theater in her line. The inspiration for this collection came from Victorian men’s wear style and tailoring but with a distinctly feminine twist.

When asked about her work she responded, “I love the chance to make new things and craft something truly unique. The best thing about building something to order is that I often get the challenge of creating something I never have before. I live for that kind of work.”

Shireen Christina

Shireen Wright, a Portland native, had her first aha moment while visiting a friend in Los Angeles. She suddenly knew that she wanted to become an entrepreneur. Two years later a second aha moment followed. As a 6’2” tall woman, Wright was frustrated with the lack of women’s clothing that would fit her body, let alone find on-trend clothing. Her new aha was to give tall women as well as her 6” 2” tall sister Christina fashionable ready-to-wear clothing.

To achieve her dream, Wright received a fashion design degree from the Art Institute of Portland followed by many years of working on improving her design and sewing skills. After moving to Eugene and becoming a stay-at-home mother, she thought this was the prefect opportunity to introduce her clothing line, Shireen Christina at Eugene Fashion Week.

Shireen Christina debut line will feature long sleeved jersey t-shirts and knit dresses.
